We undertake thermostatic mixing valve installation, testing and reporting in Melbourne.
Thermostatic mixing valves (TMV’s) are devices that ensure the delivery of heated water at a specified temperature to an outlet by mixing the heated and cold water supplies.
Thermostatic mixing valves regulate the temperature of water flowing into different taps within a property. The reason for this is to prevent water temperatures that are exceedingly hot from flowing out of a tap and potentially injuring the user.
A thermostatic mixing valve automatically calculates the input flows of hot and cold water to ensure an output with a constant temperature. Under Australian legislation, hot water must be delivered at a temperature no warmer than 50 degrees celsius on residential properties, and 45 degrees celsius in operations such as schools and hospitals.
We are qualified Thermostatic Mixing Valve installers, and along with installing the valves, we are also able to test and report on them, which is required at intervals no longer than 12 months under legislation.
As you can see, it is absolutely crucial to ensure that your thermostatic mixing valve is functioning optimally and correctly for the safety of the people using your taps, and the reputation of your business or property.
